Villa Caballitos

Large, Centrally Located Home in Corpus Christi

This is a great property and perfect for large groups. Villa Caballitos is a 5 BR in-town property with 5 baths, a private swimming pool, and much outdoor space. For smaller groups, the lower level (Caballito Rojo) can be rented as a 2 BR, 2 bath, and the upper level (Caballito Azul) can be rented as a 3 BR, 3 bath. This property is striking in design and offers great living areas both inside and out.

A curved staircase leads from the patio courtyard to the second level where there are 3 BRs, 3 baths, a full kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. Bedding on this level includes 3 kings and 1 trundle bed (additional air mattress available with advance notice).

The first floor has two bedrooms and two baths and a full kitchen, living room, and dining area. Rooms are large and the property is fully air-conditioned. Each level is equipped with cable TV and a VCR. Every bedroom has a private bath and there is bedding for 12 guests. Maximum occupancy is 12 guests.

The large 24"x21" hexagon-shaped pool is located in the tropical garden and has poolside lounge chairs. A patio area surrounds the pool and a large poolside palapa provides afternoon shade. Have an evening barbecue using the built-in gas grill in the palapa. Caballito has a second outdoor garden patio on the north side of the house near the off-street parking area; this area has a BBQ grill and a palapa with a seating area.

Divers will love the dive rinse area with a secure storage area that is well-ventilated to allow gear to dry.

Back Again... (Mike)
...and hopefully not for the last time! This was our second time at Villa Caballitos, and once again it was perfect for our large group (9 guests). The property is very spacious, with two separate outdoor areas with palapa, chairs, etc. Even with a large group it is easy to find a quiet place for some reading or relaxation. The pool area gets more hours of direct sun compared to some other places I've stayed, and there is plenty of space for sunbathing. We have stayed at many in-town rentals in Cozumel, and they have all been great, but what sets Villa Caballitos apart from most of them is the attention to detail. The house has everything you need--pool towels, kitchen appliances, even a gas grill on the patio. The dive gear rinse area is a nice feature, as we had 4 sets of snorkel gear that were being used regularly. And everything is in good working order. If you need anything, the property manager, Saul, is just a quick WhatsApp message away. If you have a large group that can take advantage of a 5 BR rental, I would highly recommend Villa Caballitos. You will not be disappointed!

Very Favorite Place To Stay (Allan Pickering)
I don't know if I can do this place justice. This villa is our favorite place to stay on the island, love it! These are nice rooms, and having a full kitchen (or two) and W/D just makes the whole travel and planning SO much easier. The staff and owners are so nice. For Ironman last November, we rented out all 5 bedrooms (7 of us), so worth it! Easy stroll to Chedraui for food and liquor, and easy walks to lots of places to eat. We get our steps in when we visit Cozumel, but all the restaurants and fresh food make it so worth it. For diving, just drag your stuff 1/2 a block and wave down a taxi to get you to Fonatur. This place is the best!

Great in-town rental for large groups (Mike)
We have stayed at several vacation rentals in town, all of which have been great, and Villa Caballitos was as nice as any of them. We rented the entire 5 BR/5 bath villa, and with 2 full kitchens and and a separate yard area away from the pool, there was more than enough room for our group of 9. The amenities are well thought-out, and everything is in good working order. The barbecue grill out on the patio was a nice touch, and we enjoyed grilling at home when we didn't feel like going out for dinner. The property manager, Saul, was always available if we had any questions, and between him and the maid, everything was taken care of. For example, when the bottled water was down to the last container, more was brought that same day without us even having to ask. The location is also excellent. It is a very short walk to the Chedraui supermarket, and it is closer to the town center than many of the other properties in the Corpus Christi neighborhood. Several good dining options are also only a short walk away. We visited Los Chilangos for some local food, Mingo's for a nice steak dinner, and Portosal for sunset dining. I would highly recommend Villa Caballitos for an in-town stay, in particular for a larger group.

Villa Caballitos is Awesome! My Favorite Place! (Allan)
We stayed Nov 20-27 - for the Ironman competition. Yeah, this is my favorite place to stay in Cozumel. Less than 3 blocks to the Chedraui (local grocery+ store). First time we rented out the entire place, top and bottom. 7 adults, we cooked two dinners in - upstairs we had all the kitchen and utensils we needed for enchiladas and chicken parmesan (carb loading before the race). Nice walk to the square and the restaurants there. So comfy to wake up and have your morning Diet Coke (or coffee, whatever) on the balcony. Excellent dive tank cleaning area. The only thing detracting, and this is minor, it that cabbies tend to not understand 10 Avenia *SUR BIS*. It's the Sur Bis that confuses them. Not up on my Spanish enough to get it. If you are looking for a great place to stay for several folks (7 bedrooms!) this is where you want!

Villa Caballitos (Aaron)
This was our 4th stay at villa Caballitos, and we keep returning. Minor service issues are repaired promptly, and our interactions with the property managers are stellar. We've rented both Azul & Rojo, and have had 10 guests, small children - grandparents, and found the space to be perfect for our needs. The kids love the pool, the kitchens are well stocked, and there's plenty of room for us to spread out. Looking forward to staying again soon!

Great For Extended Family (Artistandteacher)
We were 4 adults and 2 children that stayed for the first week at Los Cabaillitos and it was fantastic to have the entire house to ourselves. The granchildren lived in the pool and we were able to walk to many places such as shops and restaurants. The house is scrupulously clean and very well equipped. We ate at home on several occasions because it was convenient with 2 little boys but found some lovely local family restaurants close by We also ordered Billy's BBQ....it was great and very inexpensive to pick up and bring the feast home. The second week my husband and I were on our own and had a medical emergency. We contacted the management who got an ambulance to the home and stayed with us until we were safely on our way to hospital . They recommended Medico San Miguel and I had very good care for my 3 day stay. We had rented a car for beach days and a couple of snorkel trips and golf. That really was the only way for us to do all we wanted to do while there but the taxi service when needed was excellent and not too costly. We used pesos the entire time we were away and found that to be best for shopping etc. I would highly recommend Los Caballitos for a stay in Cozumel especially for a large group of family or friends.
