La Ballena is one of the few villas on Cozumel's north shore that has a sand beach and you can walk for miles on this stretch. La Ballena is decorated throughout with rustico Mexican furnishings and special local art. You'll have stunning views of the Caribbean that can be enjoyed from both the kitchen, dining room and one of the two living room spaces on the first level. Tucked between the two living rooms is a desk with high speed internet access (bring your laptop) and a half bath that serves the first floor. Also on the first level is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, toaster, blender, coffee maker, etc. The dining room has seating for eight. There is also seating at the kitchen counter and a screened-in porch has a table and chairs for four. Just off of the kitchen and toward the front of the villa, is a wonderful new grilling station, prep and outdoor sink area. Also in this space, there is a brand new tiled rinse tank and secure hanging space for dive and snorkel gear. La Ballena has both mini-split and zonal air conditioning plus ceiling fans throughout. And, don't forget all of the other amenities: Feel free to make calls to the U.S. and Canada with the free business line. High speed internet access allows web surfing with the use of your own laptop. This villa has a nice video library of VCR movies and there is also a CD/tapeplayer. The ocean view master bedroom has a king bed, large dressing room and private bath at the top of the stairs. Also on this level are two other bedrooms, one with queen bed and a third bedroom with two twins. A hallway bathroom serves both of these two bedrooms. Ascend to the top floor and you will find a fourth bedroom with twin beds and private bathroom. The outdoors at La Ballena offers something for everyone. The kids can play on the sandy beach found just outside the back door. This northern beach stretches for miles. While you're enjoying your morning coffee, enjoy the show as kite boarders practice their skills and "catch some air". Don your snorkeling gear and head into the ocean for spectacular underwater sights. Grab a lounge chair and perfect your tropical tan in the back yard. All will enjoy the fantastic optically lit, heated, infinity edge freshwater pool, whirlpool, outdoor patio and screened-in veranda.
